This Sunday, at 2AM, daylight savings time occurs and we “Spring Forward.”
Parents oftentimes ask me how they should adjust their child’s sleep schedule.
Here is my reply:
Because bedtime relies on parental timing of active/quiet time, bathing, and dinner (and these parental cues are adjusted to the new clock time), then we can disregard the change in clock time.
If 6:30 PM is the right bedtime for your child on Saturday, then 6:30 PM is the right bedtime for your child on Sunday too.
Dr. Weissbluth will be talking about infant sleep today at 1 PM for our New Parent Support Group- all our families are welcome to join.
For the families in our practice, your Sleep Apps should automatically adjust 🙂
